Lets talk about dirty laundry!

I found this laundry basket interesting. https://www.hsw.com.au/collapse-a-hip-hugger-laundry-basket/ It can collapse down  Looks fantastic.

The laundry day is very difficult. I also visited in a van with my family but after that it was difficult for me to handle the clothes of my husband and kids.

I am curious if any of you have compared the washing bags (and washing/shower/laundry bag/dry bag combos) like Scrubba brand to hand crank and foot powered washers, in terms of effort, effectiveness and durability.

E.g.,

They are obviously lighter and more compact. Since I only have a station wagon, not a van, and might sometimes backpack or sea kayak, that would matter to me.

One could line dry the clothing afterwards. But that would obviously only work if the relative humidity is low.

I know someone who has been using an electric iron instead of a dryer at home. When electricity is unavailable, there are also (vintage) gas powered irons. I have my doubts about ironing performance outdoor fabrics, like polypropylene and polyester fleece, til they are dry, but irons are more compact than electric drying machines.

Many Youtube reviews of the Scrubba are positive, but here is a less enthusiastic review:

It sounds like one might need a mesh bag to poor the used wash water through without dumping the clothing on the ground. And maybe you need a small bucket or water bottle to fill it with water, if you are using a sink with a low faucet.

And incidentally, since many campground faucets only have cold water, one might need a stove to warm it up.

I assume that good quality full size home washer/dryers are better in every respect. But they won’t easily fit in my station wagon, and maybe not in some of your vans.

So again - have any of you folks experience with wash bags, such as these?

Where did you get the zip tote and how much was it? Thank you
